I RECEIVED THE EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD and A WRITING FROM MY BEAUTIFUL TEACHER!

Hello Dear Friends,

This week has been particularly joyful for me! I received a trophy from one of my students who honored me with the title of “Best Instructor.” When they presented it to me during our lesson, it truly became one of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever received.

Another student of mine, Yilsan, who is also a mentor to me, shared a heartfelt and genuine message about her experience with me. Reading her words left me deeply moved, and I felt compelled to share her message with you all.

I am truly grateful for all my students. Let me share Yilsan’s wonderful note with you:

Yilsan’s Words:

Hello, dear group members. Today, I want to share something entirely different with you. This isn’t a job posting, a question for information, or even a tip to share. Today, I want to talk about my amazing instructor, Orhan Hoca, who works as a driving instructor in the Vaughan area and is also a professional teacher by trade.

After my G2 license expired three years ago, I had to start the whole process from scratch. I managed to pass my G1 on my own, but when it came to finding the right instructor, all roads eventually led me to Orhan Hoca. I had heard great things about him on Facebook and from several of his students. Without hesitation, I reached out to him. From our first conversation, his calm and professional demeanor immediately assured me I was in good hands.

In March, I took a two-hour lesson with him, but because of the lockdown, exams were delayed, and I couldn’t book my G2 test right away. Finally, thanks to him, I secured a test appointment in Brampton for July 14 at 7:22 a.m. Three days before the test, we had another two-hour lesson.

I don’t own a car, and I didn’t have anyone who could take me to Brampton at such an early hour. Even if I did, I wouldn’t ask for such a favor. So, I turned to my instructor. When I told him about my situation, he responded with a solution that I couldn’t have imagined:

“I’ll pick you up at 5 a.m. from your home. We’ll drive to Brampton together, have a two-hour practice session before the test, you’ll take the test in my car, and afterward, I’ll drop you off at the subway station.”

Who does that? Not even your own family might make such an effort.

Call it kindness, professionalism, dedication, or passion for his work. I simply call it “a love for people.” Yes, there is a cost to his service—after all, this is his livelihood—but what stands out is that he doesn’t stop at the lesson. He sees it through until you pass your test. He never leaves his students stranded.

I’ve worked with many professionals over the years, but I’ve never met anyone like Orhan Hoca. For him, there’s no such thing as an unsolvable problem. He always has a backup plan or even a third option.

His focus isn’t on “making money,” but on “achieving success.” He cares about how many students succeed, not how much he earns. With his calm voice, encouraging words, patient corrections, and tireless repetition until you get it right, he leaves his mark on your driving skills. The signature on your license is, in spirit, his.

Working with him made me realize that being a good driver isn’t just about operating a car, navigating traffic, or avoiding accidents. It’s about applying what you’ve learned, learning from your mistakes, and improving yourself every time you’re on the road.

Dear Instructor, I commend your respect for your profession and the incredible dedication you show to your students. Please continue nurturing skilled and responsible drivers with your positive approach. And please accept my heartfelt gratitude for all the effort you’ve put in.

Sincerely,

Your student,

Yilsan Tavsanli

Dear Friends,

This week has reminded me once again of the immense satisfaction that comes from making a difference in people’s lives. To all my students: you inspire me to be my best.
