BEWARE OF PIRATE EDUCATORS! YOU MAY EVEN GO TO PRISON!

BEWARE OF PIRATE EDUCATORS! YOU MAY EVEN GO TO PRISON!

Hello Dear Learners,

Today, I feel compelled to address a troubling issue after hearing about another unfortunate accident involving unlicensed driving instructors. Every week, I receive new reports of students being victimized by unlicensed individuals pretending to be driving instructors. Currently, there are 6 such individuals, including 3 women and 3 men, offering illegal driving lessons.

UNDERSTAND THE RISK! ALL PENALTIES AND EXPENSES WILL FALL ON YOU!

Opportunists tend to emerge during every crisis, and this time, they’ve disguised themselves as “instructors,” preying on vulnerable individuals with a profit-driven mindset.

If you choose to work with these unlicensed individuals, you will bear full responsibility for any issues or accidents that occur. If an accident happens, these “instructors” may deny any involvement, claim they don’t know you, and avoid accountability entirely.

You could end up paying thousands of dollars in fines, covering all accident-related expenses, including those of the other party involved. Additionally, your license could be suspended for one month.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? DEMAND TO SEE THEIR LICENSE!

• Always ask the person offering lessons to show their Instructor License. I’ve included an example image of the license for your reference. If you forget to ask beforehand, request to see it before getting in the car. If they cannot produce a valid license, do not proceed. It’s that simple.

• There are a few Turkish-speaking licensed instructors in Ontario. Many of them have shared their licenses in Facebook groups. You can reach out to these individuals and arrange lessons with them.

• Our vehicles are equipped with dual brake systems to ensure your safety, and we carry specialized insurance that protects you in the event of an accident. We pay a significant monthly cost for this coverage.

THIS WEEK’S NEW OPPORTUNISTS

One of these opportunists (I hesitate to call her a “lady”) recently posted on Facebook claiming that a license is not required to provide driving lessons. She consistently spreads false information to deceive people. Remember, you can offer free assistance to your spouse, children, or friends, but you must have a valid license to provide professional, paid lessons.

Another opportunist claims to provide lessons exclusively to women but does so without a license, putting her students at significant risk.

A LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR HIGHWAY TRAINING!

If you do not have an Instructor License, you CANNOT take a G1 holder onto highways. Even if you have 30 years of experience with a G license, you are not allowed to bring a G1 holder onto highways or freeways.

If a student is stopped by the police or involved in an accident under such circumstances, the driver (student) will be held accountable.

Only licensed instructors are permitted to provide paid lessons and allow G1 holders to practice on highways.

WHAT HAPPENS IN AN ACCIDENT? THEY MAY ABANDON YOU.

If an accident occurs, these unlicensed individuals, knowing they are operating illegally, may deny they were providing lessons and flee the scene. In some cases, they may even threaten you with claims that the car is stolen.

Unfortunately, incidents like these have occurred in the past.

DEAR FRIENDS,

I am also happy to support individuals who want to pursue this profession professionally. If you’re serious about it, I’m open to collaborating and helping you succeed.

Let me make it clear: I am not writing this post out of financial concerns or competition anxiety. I have enough local and international students to meet my needs.

As you know, I regularly share articles and posts to help build a well-informed community in Canada. While I may not know many of you personally, my goal is to protect you from potential dangers and exploitation.

PLEASE! Protect yourself, your family, and your future from these risky situations. Always ask for proof of licensing from anyone claiming to provide lessons.

With my deepest respect,

Orhan Hoca
